Wii Fit

How can you find Wii Fit? If you are searching for a fitness game that will appeal to everyone in your household, you might be under the impression that it will be hard to find.  Wii Fit is the answer, and you can find it right here.

So what kind of results can you expect to find?  Wii Fit will certainly help to get you off the couch.  If you are already exercising at a high level, this may not be the tool for you, but if you are like most of us, this is a great motivator.  It’s fun, it tracks your progress, and you can put in as much or as little effort as you want.

When you first start up the system you get to create your own Mii.  A Mii is a cartoon representation of yourself.  If you already own a Wii you can use your existing Mii.  You can have up to eight of your friends or family members profiled on your system.  When you are going through the routines, it is fun to watch for your family members either playing along with you or in the crowd.

What kind of exercises can you expect to find? Wii Fit has four primary exercise categories.  Those are: strength training, aerobics, yoga, and balance.  Strength training exercises include things like: rowing squats, leg extensions, lunges, plank, pushups, etc.  Yoga focuses on balance and flexibility and includes poses like half-moon, warrior, bridge, the sun salutation, standing knee, etc.  Aerobics exercises include things like: running, step, and rhythm boxing, etc.  And the balance games include: soccer heading, ski slalom table tilt, balance bubble, etc.  The balance exercises are particularly good for the senior members of your family as falls can be a real problem as we age.

The games are so much fun it doesn’t feel like you are exercising.  But like with anything you do, there will be some days when you just don’t feel like doing any of these activities.  On those days, you can still log in and take the basic body test.  The program will ask you to stand still on the balance board. You will then be advised of your current weight and BMI.  Then you will be given a random test to take and your Wii Fit age will be calculated.  The program keeps track of your daily weight, BMI, and exercise.  There is even an option to input exercise you have done outside the Wii Fit platform.  You can even set weight loss (or gain) goals for the future.

The happy balance board icon will help to encourage you to continue exercising.  The exercises are presented by a personal trainer.  It is a very user friendly platform.

So now you know how to find a Wii Fit system. While you will not become a body builder or Olympic athlete using this program, you will certainly find Wii Fit will improve your general health and fitness level.
